Like many of you, I like to listen to the background music and radio news. But I am, like many of you, often annoying with so-called «FM-format” radio broadcast, allegedly imposed to the public ostensibly at the request of the public itself, as well as constant repetition of the same news and musical “hits”.

Actually, if the tariff of the access to the Internet allows, there are no problems with a choice of music to suit your taste and mood – just connect to any of the many online radio stations, and even better – to a resource that aggregates the number of radio stations. In the same way, you can listen at your convenience any long “talk” broadcasts. But, in my opinion, nobody has yet proposed a convenient service that allows on the fly to choose subjects and sources of radio news – select with the same ease with which we are now filter RSS-channels of plain text news. How can such a service look?

So, an online radio station buys the text content from news agencies and thematic resources. The most interesting news is selected by editors and “slander” by professional broadcasters. Every new is written in a separate file that editors assign semantic tags. Labor costs are not for journalists and DJs: “trick” of this radio station is in the choice of news and music by the listener.

By signing up at the service, any listener can create for his own use some music news profiles, which he can use at different times of day and in different moods. For example, in one profile politics and economics dominates, and in another – news on professional issues, in the third – a popular science subjects, in the fourth – funny things, jokes, entertainment posters, etc. The listener can easily edit any profile or create a new one.

Just a few clicks of the mouse – and the broadcaster helpfully changes the subject issue, begins “to dig deeper” or skim the surface, becoming a stalwart of certain views or rises to the heights of objectivity and pluralism. For this listener it is enough to change the subject heading, the list of information sources, semantic tags, the lifetime of news – or just run a search for key words in the texts of news. In response to the mouse clicks service automatically will select the files with the news you want.

Music “filters” on the same principle. At any time (for example, when next volcano is going to explode in the world) the listener can change on the fly in a radio channel percentage of music and news, as well as reassign the number of news items within an hour. In your individual radio service within reasonable limits “mixes” text and audio advertising.

In my opinion, this project is worth it to be analyzed and count.
